Cape Consumers (Pty) Ltd was founded in 1947 as the State Employees´ Buy-Aid Association (SEBAA) offering discounts to a small group of members. Since then, Cape Consumers added bsmart as their brand name and has grown into a giant with more than 30 000 cardholders, more than 10 000 retailers and an annual turnover in excess of R1 billion.
